Kolt Recruitment was founded by Kirk Kilgallon and Claire Harrington, who decided to combine their skillset to create a new automotive recruitment agency. Kirk and Claire have a passion for both working with people and cars, and have a vision to create a workplace which they believe will place them head and shoulders above other agencies.
Kolt Recruitment is a national automotive recruitment agency who specialise in working with professionals in the automotive industry.

Kirk Kilgallon
Managing Director
Kirk Kilgallon is one of the founders of Kolt Recruitment.
Kirk has over 15 years’ experience in the recruitment industry and has worked across different sectors supporting small and large organisations. Kirk has found his passion and success working and supporting clients in the automotive industry, where he has built up a network of both skilled candidates and clients.
Kirk’s passion has been leading and developing teams to support the automotive industry within recruitment. Kirk’s ambition and goal is to grow Kolt Recruitment and be the first choice to the automotive industry to find the best staffing solutions for clients and candidates across the UK.
Claire Harrington
Director
Claire Harrington is one of the founding members of Kolt Recruitment.
Claire’s background is sales and client satisfaction with 10 years’ experience across telecommunications and private medical insurance. Her high standards of business development ensures clients and candidates all receive a valuable service.
Claire’s responsibility is to keep the continued growth and development at Kolt Recruitment at a management and operational level.
Family Heritage
The founding members of Kolt Recruitment have a family history of supporting the automotive industry through a late family member – Harold Harrington.
Harold Harrington born in 1919 started his career as an apprentice coach builder back in the 1930s after approaching Albert Wilkinson owner of Wilkinson’s garage at the time. Initially, Harrington was trained as a coachbuilder and glass cutter, although his work soon changed to converting cars such as Rolls-Royces to ambulances, building breakdown lorries from R-R cars and mobile libraries for the war effort.
Harrington was called up for war in 1943 where he served as a Bren gunner across North Africa, Italy, Egypt, Palestine, Greece and Austria. After 3 years at war, Harrington returned to work for Wilkinson’s until aged 30 and went to work for a windscreen company until retirement at aged 71.
